The Texas Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers was established in 1981, and currently has 128 members, who represent the state's leaders in the field of family law. Members of the Texas Chapter are committed to the Academy’s mission: “To encourage the study, improve the practice, elevate the standards, and advance the cause of matrimonial law, to the end that the welfare of the family and society be protected.”
The Best of the Best
In Texas, members of the Academy are known as preeminent litigators, strong advocates for their clients and their profession, and compassionate representatives for clients who are facing some of the most traumatic events in their lives. In addition to excellent trial work, however, many members of the Texas Chapter diligently pursue new methods of alternative dispute resolution, including collaborative law.
When a client retains a lawyer who is a member of the Texas Chapter of the Academy, that client is assured that he or she has hired a highly-skilled professional who is a leading practitioner in the field of family law.
